Carole Monnier Clark
Académie de Sophrologie Paris XV
I came to sophrology during my first pregnancy, and then again during my second, after which I decided to take it further and make it a way of life by becoming a sophrologist. Practicing sophrology has been a transformative experience allowing me to live with more harmony and approach life’s situations with greater positivity. Sharing this discovery with others has been a joyful surprise along this journey.
Since certifying at the Académie de Sophrologie Paris XV in 2013, I have worked with many clients, adults and children, for individual consultation and in groups for various purposes and have always been gratified by the outcomes of our work together.
My experience has also included multi-week programs geared towards accompanying women through pregnancy and preparing for delivery in harmony with their bodies and connected with baby.
Consulting online through videoconference is a positive avenue for continuing my work with clients from a distance. Clients receive the same benefits as a traditional consultation, but from the comfort of their own homes.
We tried for two and a half years to have a baby. Nothing worked. We had nearly given up when a doctor in Paris suggested In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). We were eager to try, but I knew a large part of the success of the procedure hinged on my ability to relax, nourish my body properly, and think positively.
Sophrology helped me regain control of the situation. It helped me shift my negative thoughts into visions of positive realities. A mother herself, Carole understood my situation and fostered a caring a nurturing environment throughout my treatment. She accompanied me along the journey.
My beautiful daughter is now almost a year old.
From time to time I listen to the recordings of our sophrology sessions, and they help me get through situations of anxiety in motherhood or periods of transition in my life. Sophrology reminds me that I am still in control and that relaxation is a learned and practiced state. I’m so glad I found Carole, and the ability to take control, when I needed it most.
